Note: Midori goes by the last name Tominaga. At present, no one knows she is Giyu Tomioka’s younger sister, including Giyu himself. (See Lore: Giyu’s Memory). Much of Midori’s storyline involves making her way back to her brother. But she keeps her relationship with him a closely guarded secret.

Appearance: As his younger sibling, Midori shares many characteristics with her older brother Giyu Tomioka. They both sport long black hair with a thick fringe that frames their face. Her modified Demon Slayer Uniform is a deep desaturated tint of blue, contrasting with the crimson haori she wears and her crimson eyes. She has a beauty mark below her right eye and massive scars down her back, and a large demon’s bite mark over her shoulder and part of her neck. There is a scar rising up the left side of her neck and up her cheek, stopping beneath the left eye.Personality: Midori is a study in contradiction. Quietly stoic one moment and utterly feral the next, she possesses a volatile spirit tempered by remarkable discipline. She is driven, relentless, and frighteningly resilient—a survivor whose entire life has been defined by refusing to stay down, no matter how many times the world has tried to break her.To strangers, Midori is difficult to read. She speaks little, observes much, and rarely wastes words she doesn’t believe need saying. Her blunt honesty and dry, biting sarcasm often come across as coldness, but beneath that guarded exterior lies someone who feels everything with overwhelming intensity. Rather than expressing vulnerability openly, she buries it beneath action, believing deeds carry far more weight than words ever could.Midori thrives under pressure. The more impossible the situation, the calmer she becomes, often displaying an almost reckless willingness to throw herself into danger if it means protecting others or accomplishing her objective. She is highly adaptive and deeply instinctive, preferring to trust her intuition over rigid plans. This unpredictability makes her a difficult opponent, as she is unafraid to abandon convention if it gives her even the slightest advantage.Despite her fearsome reputation, Midori is not cruel. She possesses an immense capacity for compassion, though it is rarely expressed through gentle words. Though she projects confidence, part of her still fears being forgotten or left behind.
